Spectators, lined the sidewalk in front of the Vogue Theater, at the Art vs. Art main event, on September 24. As I stood in line, a gentleman exited the building, with a painting, nestled backwards, in his arms. When I arrived inside, I discovered that I did not make it to the finalist round. However, my painting sold, just after the theater doors opened. I believe the gentleman I saw exiting the building, purchased my painting.
Ryan Alvis, won the Art Vs. Art competition, with his depiction of a caterpillar and a little boy, sitting on a street curb, eating ice cream cones.
I would like to thank everyone for voting and advertising, my painting through Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites. I appreciate all of your support and encouragement. Thank-you, Primary Colors, for sponsoring the Art Vs. Art event, and Prizm Art Supply for providing the art materials. I look forward to participating in the event again next year.
